VARIO-ELMARIT Lens With its EA (Extra-High refractive index aspherical) lens, the FX50
offers wide-angle shooting and a 3.6x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 28 to 102mm). The
wide angle conveys width and depth when shooting landscapes, and it's ideal for shooting
group portraits in a small room. The FX50 also has the Extended Optical Zoom, which brings
the zoom power up to 5.5x with minimal deterioration by magnifying the image using the
center of the CCD. * High-Quality 3.0" Diagonal LCD Shows you bit, beautiful Images
The 3.0" diagonal LCD covers almost the entire camera back. The 230,000- pixel
resolution offers clear, sharp images, and the pixel-mixed readout method of the CCD helps
make even dark areas bright and easy to see. The dual-image playback display feature makes
it easier to compare two images in detail to see the differences in focus accuracy and
contrast. The out-of-frame display feature shows the image within a 2.5-inch frame while
showing shooting information outside the frame. And VGA-size motion images in playback
mode can be converted into a series of nine for just one snapshot. These smart features
take advantage of the FX50's big, bright screen. * Intelligent ISO Control forestalls
motion blur The FX50 features the world's first intelligent ISO control for ISO
sensitivity setting, which uses a circuit with Venus Engine III to detect movement within
the frame and helps you get blue-free shots by automatically adjusting the ISO sensitivity
(up to ISO 800) and shutter speed according to how much the subject is moving. *
Low-Noise, High-Sensitivity ISO 1250 Shooting reduces motion blur The FX50 shoots at
sensitivity levels up to ISO 1250 and still captures low-noise shots at full resolution.
This means you can shoot at higher shutter speeds to minimize motion blur and get
beautiful indoor shots without a flash. The Scene mode also features a High Sensitivity
Mode that raises sensitivity to ISO 3200, letting you shoot at even higher shutter speeds.
* Quick Response - So you're ready to capture the moment Turn on the FX50 and you're ready
to shoot in just 1.3 seconds. The Venus Engine III LSI and its multi-task image processing
further accelerates response, so you get quick, comfortable shooting with a release time
lag as low as 0.005 second and a shutter interval of 0.5 second. These add up to make the
FX50 an extremely quick, responsive camera that's a pleasure to use. * MEGA BURST
Consecutive Shooting The FX50 fires up to 8 consecutive shots at 3 frames per second in
Standard mode. It also has Unlimited Consecutive Shooting, which means you can keep
shooting until the memory card is full. There's no need to hold back - snap off a series
of shots and keep only the ones you like best. * Smooth Wide-Screen VGA Motion Images In
addition to recording standard VGA-size (640 x 480 pixels) motion images at 30 frames per
second, the FX50 records smooth, beautiful motion images in Wide VGA size (848 x 480
pixels). These are perfect for viewing on a wide-screen TV. The FX50's high-sensitivity
CCD uses the pixel-mixed readout method, which helps ensure that the motion images are
