EyeTV 250 is perfect for conventional analog cable TV or aerial/
antenna reception. Simply connect the co-axial cable to EyeTV 250,
plug EyeTV 250 into a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port on your Mac, and start
watching TV. It couldn't be easier.
Capture video from a VCR, DVD player or camcorder and create digital
copies of your VHS tapes to edit and save. Watch your video
memories on your Mac, export them to your iPod, or burn them to a
DVD for posterity, using Toast software.
Connect game consoles to your Mac. The Game Mode feature operates
with USB 2.0 and turns off hardware encoding for zero latency game
play.
EyeTV 250's built-in hardware encoder compresses audio and video
signals to MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats, freeing up your computer's
processor for other activities. This also means that you can record
high quality video even with a less powerful Mac. MPEG-2 is a
premium-quality video compression standard, which is the basis for
DVD and digital television.
At just 4" x 2.5" x 1" and less than half a pound with a clean, Mac
Mini style enclosure, EyeTV 250 fits beautifully and unobtrusively
into your Mac work- and play- space.
EyeTV 250 comes with a break-out cable for S-Video and composite RCA
video connections. So, EyeTV 250 is the right choice if you receive

EyeTV 2 downloads TitanTV.com (US) online data into its built-in
program guide, putting two weeks of detailed and up-to-date TV
listings at your fingertips. Navigate through the listing and quickly
return to the present date and time with the help of the shortcut
menu. The EPG displays a thin grey vertical line to visually indicate
the present time. TitanTV is free in the United States and EyeTV 2
includes a free one-year subscription to tvtv.com.

Even when there is no Internet connection or TV signal, you can view
EyeTV 2's Program Guide, search for shows, and schedule recordings!
- Support for DVB and ATSC EPG's
Do you live outside the tvtv service area and use digital TV? No
problem, EyeTV 2 will import TV listings from the DVB or ATSC guides
into the built-in Program Guide.

- Add Analog channels manually
You don't need to be an EyeTV genius to figure out how to add analog
channels to your list manually. It's now listed in the action menu in
EyeTV 2's Channels window.
- Add DVB & ATSC channels manually
Satellite channels change frequently, and now you can add to your list
of channels without doing an automatic scan and detect of the entire
list.
- Create favorite channels lists
Put the channels you watch most in a "favorites" list, or go a step
further and catagorize your sports channels, your news channels, or
your movie channels in their own lists. There is no limit to the
number of favorite channels lists you can create.
- Sort, filter and view channel details
EyeTV 2 gives you control over your channel list. Rearrange the order
by simply dragging them in the list. Use the filter field to search
for channels, and show or hide specific channels. EyeTV shows detailed
information about each channel.

- "Invert Markers" command
Have it both ways. The Editor's action menu now has an "Invert
Markers" command so that you can mark your edits and then decide if
you want to keep the footage between the markers, or dispense with
that and keep the rest of the show instead.

There's no need to be an expert in video formats to decide which one
is right for you. EyeTV 2 offers a large variety of intelligent
choices, simply pick the one that best applies. How do you want to use
the recording? On your iPod? Your PSP? iTunes? iMovie, iDVD, or DVD
Studio Pro? EyeTV analyzes your the recording and chooses the optimum
export format based on your choice. Of course, if you are an expert
EyeTV 2 also allows you choose your own export settings.
